What the site provides
This site offers free calculators for converting between micrograms, milligrams and grams, a conversion chart, and educational articles about metric weight. It is provided as a general reference tool for informational purposes.
Not professional advice
The content on this site is not medical, pharmaceutical, legal, financial or professional advice of any kind. In particular, nothing here should be used to determine, calculate, verify or adjust a medication dose. Unit conversion is arithmetic; deciding what quantity is appropriate for a person is a clinical judgement that requires a qualified professional.
Accuracy and limitations
We take accuracy seriously. Conversions use the exact SI relationships (1 g = 1,000 mg; 1 mg = 1,000 mcg), are computed with exact decimal arithmetic rather than floating-point approximation, and are covered by an automated test suite. Our methods are described on the about page.
Even so, the site is provided “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying any result before relying on it in a situation where an error would matter.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, this site and its contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
